Credentials: Bachelor of Science - Psychology/Sociology (Southern Arkansas University), Certified Birth Doula (DONA), Certified Placenta Specialist (BEST Doula)

My interest in maternal health, reproduction, and birth developed at a very young age; but my passion in aiding women to have empowered birth experiences stems from the birth of my own daughter, in 2011. As a founding member of the National Black Doulas Association, I recognize how imperative it is for all women, especially those of color, to have proper maternal support before, during, and after birth. As an Evidence Based Birth professional member, my mission is to mitigate maternal health disparities by educating, encouraging, and empowering families to make informed birth decisions while preserving powerful and positive labor experiences.

I received birth doula certification through DONA International, and obtained a Bachelor of Science from a university in southwest Arkansas where I was born and raised. I met my college sweetheart 2004. We married in 2009, and moved to middle Tennessee with our sweet daughter in 2017. I love all things birth, but I’ve been given a heart to serve in different capacities. When I am not at a labor, or encapsulating a placenta, I am worshiping and teaching the youth at my local church. During my free time, I enjoy being with my family.
